Our Organization & Contact Information
Our Organization
Our organization was established in 1978 in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh. This organization comprises of parents and children who are the students. All Parents participate in teaching and performing the operational duties. As the first Asian Indian school in the Pittsburgh
community and the surrounding counties, ICAP met the need for educating Indian students about their rich heritage and cultural values. The founding members chose to teach the Indian national language, Hindi, to promote the unification of the different Indian regional groups that make up the Indian
community in Pittsburgh. Since then, the dedication of the member families has resulted in the success of the mission that is the core of this organization. ICAP classes are held every Sunday morning during the school year, at the YWCA North, 8500 Thompson Run Road, Pittsburgh (Allison Park), PA 15101. We recognize the
valuable work that the YWCA has done and share common idea on tolerance and acceptance of different ethnic groups.
